A little more about
Nagano Kiso Hinoki is special because it comes from one of Japan’s most carefully protected and sustainably managed forest regions, where trees grow slow, straight, and incredibly aromatic. The Kiso mountains have a long tradition of cultivating Hinoki specifically for high‑craft architecture, temples, and healing spaces, so the wood develops this naturally clean, silky scent that feels calming the moment you smell it. It’s smoother and more refined than regular cedar—almost like a soft, cool breath of wood.
